4th WeinPfingsten in the Westend: art, neighborhood and music in the - Bolivarallee!
At Whitsun, the Westend shows its delightful side with the wine and vintners' festival in Bolivarallee (new location!) as a counterpoint to the fan soccer around the Olympic Stadium. The association Family and Friends e. V. invites you to a 3-day stroll at the new location from May 23 to 25, 2026. Everyone who appreciates good wines, handmade specialties, relaxed beats and the Berlin neighborhood feeling is welcome - with or without a jersey.
Small family wineries from Europe will be bringing their best vintages and the story behind them - from fresh Rieslings to red wines with a strong character. Grape juices and non-alcoholic sparkling wines are also on offer. The special attraction here is that the wines are not only served, but also told. About soils, hours of sunshine, cultivation in harmony with nature - and about the special features that make up each individual bottle.
The smell of street food and regional specialties fills the air between the stands. People taste, laugh, clink glasses and chat. All accompanied by live music that oscillates somewhere between a relaxed groove and a lively summer evening - just right for staying a little longer than planned. The fact that the event is not moving to Bolivarallee by choice this year certainly doesn't dampen the mood.
Wine and winegrowers' festival in the Westend - Whitsun in Bolivarallee (NEW!)
A little prehistory
Before the 3-day festival could actually take place, the association and the city had to work together to overcome a few adversities. Due to the cup final, which will take place for the first time on Whitsun weekend on May 23 in Berlin, the DFB insisted on a ban on the popular event for wine lovers and connoisseurs in Berlin-Charlottenburg for "security reasons". However, thanks to the good cooperation of all those responsible, the city of Berlin made it possible anyway, so fortunately only the location is changing this year: WeinPfingsten is moving to Bolivarallee from May 23 to 25, 2026, with its small, self-marketing family wineries, food vendors and live musicians.
Family-run wineries from Germany, Austria and Italy will be presenting their wines, sparkling wines and juices at WeinPfingsten. Visitors have the opportunity to taste the wines directly on site and talk to the winegrowers in person. There is also a wide range of culinary delights on offer - from hearty dishes to sweet treats. In order to make the great effort economically worthwhile for organizers and exhibitors alike, the consumption of food and drinks brought along is understandably not permitted.
In addition to wine and culinary delights, the festival also offers space for creativity: as always, the focus is on regional arts and crafts - artists from Berlin and the surrounding area present their work and provide insights into their creations. Live music provides a relaxed atmosphere on all days and makes the festival a popular meeting place for families, couples, creative people and vinophiles alike. What can the curious expect at Whitsun? Family & Friends e. V. will reveal all the details here:
From the wine
Many wineries from Germany, Italy and Austria will be presenting their wines, sparkling wines and juices at WeinPfingsten, making it really difficult to decide on "the one":
Beer can also be tasted - perhaps you fancy a barley juice? Hans-Jürgen Most from FlexConcept GmbH offers various beers to choose from.

Before you can start browsing and shopping, you need ... money - and a suitable purse, of course. Luckily, Jandee Schulz from Jandee Design is a regular at the Family and Friends e. V. markets in Berlin. Since 1974, he has been producing colorful and almost lifelong durable leather wallets made of sustainable and naturally dyed leather in his studio in Kloster Lehnin - for both right- and left-handed people, by the way. The range also includes other small leather goods such as holsters or spectacle pouches and detailed belt buckles and decorative fasteners made from old coins. https://jandee.de/
The fantastic hat makers Carlos and Gianni (C & G) from Berlin, who will be present at all 15 Kiez markets of Family & Friends in Berlin this year, would like to see more courage to wear hats. The two will be wearing their creative hats themselves at all the markets, perfectly showcasing their stylish fascinators at the stand, allowing visitors to try on their unusual hat models and giving witty advice on how to be more courageous with hats. You simply can't walk past their stand without observing their creative and joyful work for a while or actively participating yourself. Her hats, caps, beanies, fascinators and headbands made from sculpted wire, fine feathers or warm felt are simply "attractive"!
They say that small gifts keep friendships alive. Wolfram Burckhardt from the Berlin cultural publishing house Kadmos presents the "Kadmos Koolen postcard calendars" as well as the artist calendar "Berlin Animals" with species charts, which is also available as a book. Also original are its brand new "Beuteltiere" - matching the animal calendars: cloth bags with funny sayings such as "Eul doch" plus owl calendar or "Guten Freunden gibt man ein Nüsschen" plus squirrel calendar.
Crazy, unusual crochet dolls, figures, "Spitznasis", "Schneckis", monsters, bags, lampignons, stoles and everything else you can conjure up from wool. Everything is unique, handmade and one of a kind. Find out more at Spitznasis & Friends by Saskia Jordan and on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/spitznasis
Andrei Ovaciuc from OVA Handmade in Berlin produces unique, personalized candles in pots made of oak, leather and stone with natural, vegan soy wax, essential fragrances and individual engraving - any desired engraving can be created directly at the stand on request.
