24. Filmfest FrauenWelten | THE GIRL WITH THE NEEDLE

In Denmark after the First World War, Karoline, living in poverty, gives birth to her illegitimate child after a failed abortion. She finds refuge with Dagmar, who places babies for adoption, gives her baby away in good faith and from then on supports her as a wet nurse. But the supposed charity turns out to be a nightmare. A dark drama.
THE GIRL WITH THE NEEDLE will be shown as part of the 24th Women's Worlds Film Festival, which takes place from October 23 to 29 at the KulturBrauerei cinema in Berlin and brings feminist enlightenment to the cinema. The festival will present 24 international short, feature and documentary films that show the different realities of women's lives, raise awareness of existing human rights violations against women and at the same time empower girls and women.
