100 composers and 300 works in 24 hours
Pianist Fidan Aghayeva-Edler plays the piano non-stop for 24 hours: 300 works by 100 female composers of classical modern and contemporary music, including 20 world premieres. The actress Mareike Hein interweaves artistic creation with social discourse. She recites texts, performs, interacts with the audience and draws live. Under the direction of Teresa Reiber, an immersive space of sound and reflection is created that reveals the immense compositional diversity of the artists portrayed.
Fictional heroines, exile, motherhood, origins and wanderlust are the themes of the 24 concert hours. There are also excursions into nature and the world of musical forms of cycles, etudes and dance pieces. With text and performance by Mareike Hein, the evening brings joy, inspiration and resistance in the search for one's own artistic expression to life.
