In the organizer's words:

The "founding fathers" of the band - Hugo Gündling and Jochen Volpert - were amazed to realize that they have now been playing together for over 25 years! They still present their blues not only with fresh enthusiasm, but also in three languages: German, English and Franconian.

The term "blues" should not be interpreted too narrowly. The BLUESLADEN is sometimes rocking, sometimes funky to jazzy, sometimes quiet, sometimes heavy. And even the "absolute ban on singing along" is relaxed or lifted completely under certain circumstances!

The repertoire includes original compositions from Hugo's pen, independent interpretations of various blues classics and oldies from the 60s and 70s.

Added to this is a spontaneous, often cabaret-like stage presentation. Anyone who knows Hugo knows that this is an artist on stage who talks and plays with his audience, who involves people and reacts to them, and who doesn't take himself too seriously. All true to his life motto:

Blues is when you laugh anyway.

The "Bluesladen" is run by:

Hugo Gündling:
A thoroughbred musician from the Franconian region, experienced bassist and impressive singer, who brings across melancholy blues just as intensely as witty rock'n'roll and boogie tunes.

Jochen Volpert:
An accomplished guitarist who doesn't capitulate to any style and makes you sit up and take notice with his versatile guitar accompaniment and sensitive solos.

Helmut Diesel:
On drums, the "new discovery" with a dynamic beat and high hit rate. A real enrichment.
