Kinoabend der Inklusiven Akademie

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

The Inclusive Academy cordially invites you to a special movie night.

Together, we would like to watch four extraordinary films on the big screen—films that were created over the past few months as part of our inclusive cultural and educational work.

The films were developed and produced by the Inclusive Academy’s film team, featuring Katrin Zichler and Jada Primus . They explore themes of democracy, empowerment, theater, belonging, displacement, art, and settling into a new home.

Film Program

*Together

Documentary | 9 minutes | Lower Franconia 2025

Produced in cooperation with the Von-Pelkhoven School in Kolitzheim.

The school’s student council (SMV) and youth council (BVJ) explore the question of how democracy can be lived out in everyday life. The film powerfully demonstrates how democratic structures become visible within a school community and how participation, shared decision-making, and cohesion emerge.

"Together" was awarded the Jury’s Grand Prize and the Audience Award at the JUFINALE Lower Franconia 2025. The film was particularly praised for its emotional depth, cinematic quality, and exceptional honesty and humanity.

*Anti-Racism Digga

Educational Film | Würzburg 2024–2026

The film was produced as part of the Inclusive Academy’s empowerment work and was co-funded by the federal program “Demokratie leben!” (Living Democracy!).

With clear messages, personal perspectives, and an accessible approach, the film addresses everyday racism and invites viewers to reflect and take action.

Theater Talent Course Showcase | Würzburg 2026

Between “I” and “We”—Facets of Loneliness

Under the artistic direction of Daniela Scheuren, our young people have been exploring the theme of loneliness in its many forms since winter 2025.

Using a variety of theatrical techniques, they created moving, creative, and personal scenes that are now being presented as a film.

The Art of Settling In

4 Years of War – 4 Years in a New Home: Würzburg

Documentary Film | Würzburg 2026

To conclude the evening, we’ll screen our new documentary about five young people with Ukrainian roots whom we’ve had the privilege of getting to know and supporting over the years at the Inclusive Academy.

Four years after the war began, they share their stories of loss, new beginnings, friendship, creativity, and the future. For them, the Inclusive Academy became a place where they could put down new roots through art, community, and cultural participation.

The film was made possible in part by the KuBiKo grant from the City of Würzburg’s Education Office, as well as with support from LJKE Bayern.

Following the screenings

After the screenings, we cordially invite you to a discussion with the film crew and the participants featured in the films. Together, we’d like to discuss the making of the films, the participants’ experiences, and the importance of cultural participation.

We look forward to welcoming all newcomers interested in the topic, our wonderful team of artists, many key figures from Würzburg’s educational community, and movie-goers from our partner organizations, as well as our teenagers, young adults, their families, and all friends from the Inclusive Academy community!
