It's going ROUND: STOPPOK has a birthday and celebrates on the country's stages

Travel educates. This "ROUND trip" even more so. STOPPOK, the witty seismograph of our country, has a round birthday in 2026, turning 70. That's too good not to be celebrated. On a "ROUND trip" through the Republic, on the country's live stages. STOPPOK's emotional territory and natural biotope since time immemorial.

So into the jubilant tours with rough edges, with heart and brain, with a new album and old friends. The lyric-singing-guitar icon presents himself in the most relaxed birthday mood.

He is and remains the role model of an entire guild: STOPPOK has been on the road for 50 years as a unique live phenomenon from the freshness department of vital songwriting, as an independent spirit "on solid ground" who decided early on between "money or life", as an outstanding lyricist full of wit, wisdom and pointed poetry. There can be no question of diminishing strength and ideas. One indication: the last two albums, "Jubel" and "Teufelsküche", landed in the top five of the Media Control charts.

STOPPOK is a singer and musician, highly regarded by renowned colleagues, who combines a loose mouth with stupendous craftsmanship (he is a master of his string instruments with a highly personal touch). In recent years, he has added original footwork when he uses a foot machine to add rhythmic dynamics to his sound, which is based on folk, blues and rock.

This is why STOPPOK can afford to go on tour solo, because he is an entertainer, musician and storyteller in his own right. His acoustic concerts are therefore legendary, "pure freedom" for the artist himself.

In December, the solo version of the "RUND journey" through mostly seated houses is scheduled. In keeping with a new song from the album to be released for the tour: "The longer we go together, the better we'll understand each other".
