While the Olympians are competing for medals in Milan, the 27th Great Leipzig Rose Sunday Parade is all about taking part!
The Olympic flame is also lit in Leipzig's city center - it spreads to colorfully decorated floats, imaginative costumes and cheerful faces.

The festively decorated vehicles of Leipzig's carnival clubs and companies start at Brühl and parade through the city center. Afterwards, a colorful carnival program with music, dancing and a foolish atmosphere awaits visitors at the market.

Whether young or old, everyone can look forward to a colorful world full of fantasy, confetti and merriment. Celebrate the foolish season with us and let yourself be carried away by the Olympic spirit and carnival enthusiasm.
