Someone once said: There's nothing scarier than a group of adults in ladybug costumes. Challenge accepted! And so a flippant remark becomes a fixed idea, and the fixed idea now becomes the city's first one-costume carnival. Theme: ladybugs.
So: Storm the costume rental shops, sit down at the sewing machines, ask everyone who knows how to use a needle and colors for help! Because for this party, you have to become the cutest insect in the world, the Coccinellidae, as the ladybug is technically known. The design possibilities are far greater than expected: there are 6,000 species with 2, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22 and 24 dots.
Dance to the dotted beetle, pay homage to the red wings to the sounds of DJs Flatter & Brumm. And if you are allergic to ladybugs, if you have to or want to come in a different costume, you can only do so by paying a higher entrance fee.
