A glance at the calendar shows that it's time again; time for the Muffat birthday, which is celebrating its 31st anniversary. And "It is TYM" fits perfectly here, because mixing languages and, above all, genres is the trademark of the multi-talented artist and headliner of this year's festival. A bit of indie here, a bit of glitch, synth or hyper-pop there. The artist TYM doesn't take it that seriously. He is more concerned with the feeling his music triggers and what it should say - the balance between the carefree and the melancholy in life. German-Latvian singer-songwriter Diana Goldberg's music focuses on experimentation, unpredictability and catchy melodies. Her sound moves boldly somewhere between alt-pop and neo-soul. Munich-born Katha Pauer impresses with her cheeky yet thoughtful lyrics and sounds. Her songwriting and arrangements balance genres such as pop-rock and RnB, paired with strong statements and powerful melancholy. Likewise, Versacer don't stick to one language or genre boundaries when they take to the stage with their irreplaceable, chaotic energy - with music that can be felt above all, in the legs and in the heart. Of course, the concerts are far from over; the after-show party in the Muffatcafé with Munich indie-pop heads twoisparty. and DJ Phillinger will keep the party going until dawn. It's going to be a real party!
