WELCOME TO THE BEST FESTIVAL EVER FOR SHORT FILM AND MEDIA ART!

The festival center will once again be located in the Tagblatt Tower area in FITZ! and tri-bühne from 14 to 18 January 2026. The Expanded Media exhibition presents current
positions of international media art from January 14 to 21, 2026 and extends from the KUNSTBEZIRK, via Wagnerstraße 26, our new winter film location, to the FITZ! Our Filmwinterseele also enlivens several satellites in Stuttgart during the festival.

The festival focuses on the international competitions in the categories Short Film, 2 Minutes Shorts and Expanded Media. The competitions are complemented
by the state music video prize Buggles Award in cooperation with the Pop-Büro Region Stuttgart and the Kinothek Obertürkheim. The competition program is framed by
by film screenings, focus programs, lectures, performances and workshops. The children's and youth program continues its drive for a reflective and playful approach to media art through workshops

This year's motto SCHEISSE I GOLD, which is reflected in the design, the focus program and the overall aura of the festival, uses art as the engine of transformation.
