It's all happening now: Deutsche Bahn invites you to a big basketball weekend

Booming beats from the loudspeakers, spectacular shots at the basket and lots of good humor: that's basketball! From May 4 - 5, 2024, starting at 10 a.m., it's time again and the big 3x3Germany tour will make a DB stop at Leipzig Central Station. Free admission!

The big DB tournament starts on Saturday, May 4, at 10 a.m. with the categories U18Boys, U18Girls, U16Boys, U16Girls, Wheelchair and Hobby (mixed) and runs until 7 p.m. On Sunday, May 5, the Men Pro, Women Pro, Women and Hobby (mixed) categories will then play out their winners from 10 am to 7 pm. There will also be a bump-out contest on both days.

The winners of the respective stops U18 M/W, Women Pro and Men Pro will qualify directly for the final in Hanover during the tour, which will take place on the weekend of August 31st to September 1st.The finalist teams will play for cash prizes with a total value of 1,500 euros.

In addition: 3x3Germany and the Dutch Basketball Association will work together exclusively in the summer of 2024 to offer the women something special. All female winning teams from the Mein_EinkaufsBahnhof 3x3Germany and 3x3NL tour stops will qualify for the grand final in Hanover in the women's PRO/Elite category.

Basketball and good vibes

In the 3x3 basketball contest, three players per team stand on the court and shoot at a basket. The basketball tournament combines competitive sport, popular sport and inclusion. Spectators can enjoyan attractive entertainment program with an action stage, musical accompaniment and various show acts .A dunk contest and a bump-out for kids willprovide variety .You can also win sporting prizes in a miniature basketball game - it's worth taking part!
