Born in Tbilisi (Georgia) in 1995, Tamta Magradze began playing the piano at the age of five under the guidance of her grandmother, also a musician. She obtained a bachelor's degree at the Tbilisi State Conservatory. She completed her master's degree and concert exam at the "Franz Liszt" Academy of Music in Weimar.
Tamta Magradze has received several scholarships, including from the DAAD and Bechstein. The Georgian pianist has won prizes at more than ten international and national piano competitions, including first prize at the Livorno Piano Competition in Italy, the Online Audience Prize at the Liszt Utrecht Competition and the Jury Prize at the New Orleans Piano Competition.
She has also received awards at the Schimmel Competition Braunschweig, Liszt Budapest Competition, Canada International Piano Competition, Stockholm International Music Competition, "Music Without Borders" Lithuania, "Tengiz Amirejibi" Competition Georgia.
