Au revoir at the 41st French Film Festival from 30.10. - 6.11. 2024

The French Film Festival Tübingen|Stuttgart is the largest showcase of francophone cinema in the German-speaking world. Founded in 1984, it sees itself as an audience festival that builds cultural bridges between Germany, France and the Francophone countries of the world beyond the medium of film with an attractive supporting program.

Since 2005, the festival has been able to establish itself as an important platform for young, undiscovered French cinema. An important contribution to this is made by the high-profile competition program with its various prizes, which has long been regarded in the industry as a springboard for young cineastes. A large specialist audience appreciates the festival as a showcase for international francophone film. Selected films are also shown in classrooms every year as part of the school cinema program. In the school short film competition, pupils present their own cinematic works.

Around 90 films are shown each year in Tübingen, Stuttgart, Reutlingen and Rottenburg as part of the festival program. Almost 15,000 visitors enjoy the family atmosphere in front of and behind the scenes, the annually changing festival focal points and the varied supporting program with its national and international guests.
