The Moosenmättle Open Air has a long tradition in the Ortenau region of the Black Forest. Organized by FC Kirnbach 1956 e.V. and in cooperation with the cultural association 361° e. V. in the Spitalkeller Offenburg, the popular forest and meadow open-air festival is celebrating its 42nd music festival at Moosenmättle.

Since its first event on August 5, 1983, the Moosenmättle Open Air has grown in regional significance and evolved from what was initially a crazy idea into an event with cult status known far beyond the Ortenau region.

“Where on earth am I?” some visitors might ask themselves. The event site on the Moosenmättle high plateau at the border between Baden and Württemberg is undeniably extraordinary. The venue is accessible via the valley communities of Wolfach-Kirnbach, Wolfach-Halbmeil, Hornberg, and Schramberg, and ample parking is available. Every year, around 1,000 visitors celebrate a long and lively night of music on the idyllic high plateau (783 m above sea level) with a varied program.
