5 years of Pop Info Lower Bavaria
Pop Info Niederbayern (PiN), the Lower Bavarian district's specialist center for popular music advice, is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a major concert event. On Friday, May 1, 2026, the Rocketclub Landshut will be the stage for a varied musical anniversary program - with Free admission.
Even though the district of Lower Bavaria has had a contact person for popular music since 2009, in spring 2021 the cultural department took an important step towards visibility and addressing target groups in order to reach musicians of all age groups in the Lower Bavarian scene even more directly and repositioned the department under the name "Pop Info Niederbayern" (PiN).
The anniversary is now being celebrated with a big live event at Rocketclub Landshut, where all three floors (levels) will be played over the course of the evening. The musical spectrum ranges from reggae and hip hop to ambient and house to trance and techno. Six different live acts will ensure a cross-genre evening that reflects the diversity of the modern Lower Bavarian pop music scene and invites you to dance on Labor Day with Free admission.
With this anniversary, Pop Info Niederbayern not only looks back on five years of successful brand work, but also sets an example for the future: for openness, diversity and a strong popular music scene in Lower Bavaria.
Admission: 20:00 | Start: 21:00 | Admission: Free admission
The acts:
From 21:00 on the 2nd floor: OYA (reggae/dub from Egglham)
The OYA sound breaks down genre boundaries and creates a fusion of reggae, Afro, hip hop, dub, ska, D'n'B, jazz and sometimes even techno. Driving, playfully constructed beats and skillfully packaged dead notes make the melodies groove and let everyone feel the "wind of change" - that's the translation for OYA, and that's also the band's attitude: "OYA has regrouped, almost given up and then reoriented itself, overcoming old hurdles - OYA 3.0 has once again reinvented itself. OYA - the wind that brings change - a group that sings about the spark of hope in the deepest despair.
From 21:45 on the 1st floor: PANTHAR (ambient hip-hop from Puchhausen)
Panthar is a live electronic artist who combines cinematic, melancholic soundscapes with the energy of hip-hop and EDM. His music thrives on strong emotions: euphoric choruses, organically growing drops and seamless transitions merge into an atmospheric sound that is both touching and moves you to dance. Everything is created live on stage: Panthar uses a Push 3 setup, analog synthesizers, MIDI controllers and his own vocals to create a dense, vibrant soundscape. Each performance is conceived as a coherent musical narrative - beginning with a cinematic, emotional intro and carried by a steady dramaturgical build-up that draws the audience deeper and deeper into the music. A Panthar concert is more than a set - it's a journey. For all those who want to feel electronic music, not just hear it.
From 22:00 on the 2nd floor: DOPPEL D (dialect hip hop from Lower Bavaria)
Long before dialect rappers were able to fill the biggest halls in Bavaria, Monaco F, Grämsn and DJ Spliff consistently implemented a simple idea: rap in their own dialect, without the usual "Lederhosen factor" of the time. Today, their album "B-aYa-N" is quite rightly regarded as the big bang of the genre. While other crews were still struggling to copy the role models from Hamburg or Stuttgart in 2009, the guys from Lower Bavaria put an end to expectations. They spoke authentically about their (Lower) Bavarian surroundings - musically inspired by New York, Detroit and Los Angeles, rooted in the Bavarian Forest and the Isar river. If you want to know where the origin of the current dialect wave lies and why you "just have to be double D" to stay real, you won't be able to avoid these three gentlemen in 2026.
From 21:00 on the ground floor: WHO'S WHO (Italo/Acid House, Indie Dance from Dingolfing)
After 12 years of musical existence as DJs, their musical tastes crossed rather unexpectedly in 2023 in the direction of Italo/Acid House, with slight digressions into trance. The vibe that the two friends find in their joint after-work sessions fits like a glove and makes it hard for anyone to stand still.
From 23:00 on the ground floor: DJ SUSI (trance/power house from Passau)
Born out of Y2K drama and hyperpop adrenaline: DJ SUSI. When style merges with sound and glittering make-up meets meaningful looks, chaos is elevated to couture. DJ SUSI has the perfect feel for the moment and delivers sets that mix trance anthems, powerhouse tracks and pop references wildly but skillfully. The appearance is visually striking, the sound uncompromisingly fun-oriented. DJ SUSI is also making waves as a producer: his own productions are bursting with attitude and are captivating a growing community. The party follows a clear rule: be whoever you want to be and get on people's nerves ?
From 01:00 on the ground floor: LEVORA (Trance/Hard Techno from Hofkirchen)
Immerse yourself in the rhythmic universe of Levora, the DJane who has been livening up dance floors and making hearts beat faster since 2023. She started her journey in her home town of Passau, including at the Institute for Fun & Society, and has been a familiar face in the trance and hard techno subculture ever since. With hypnotizing trance sounds at a minimum of 150 BPM, she transforms every event into a celebration of joy and euphoria. DJane Levora is known for her unmistakably bouncy trance sound, which makes the dancefloors pulsate with driving melodies and energetic beats.
