Various molding techniques are used in the manufacture of ceramic products. The oldest and best-known tool is the potter's wheel. Whether bowls, cups or plates, pottery is all made on the potter's wheel. A lump of clay is placed in the middle of the wheel, which is then set in rotation. By turning, pushing and pulling, the lump of clay is drawn out into a vessel. When the workpiece has dried, it is placed on the wheel again. It is then usually "drawn off", which means that it is smoothed with a wire. Depending on individual taste, the ceramist then adds decorations or changes the surface structure - for example by stamping or carving motifs. Christina Wolter will accompany you with sensitivity and patience as you take your first steps as a hobby ceramist.

At the end of the course, you will be able to enjoy your 5-10 most beautiful workpieces.
