This year we are not only celebrating 50 years of Mönchengladbach, but also 875 years of Giesenkirchen. Not as big as our 850th anniversary 25 years ago, but still with a weekend at the beginning of July (04-06) and a great program.
On Friday, July 4, we will start in the evening with a parade of the three Giesenkirchen shooting fraternities and a joint grand finale on Konstantinplatz.
On Saturday evening, July 5, also on Konstantinplatz, the group "Hätzblatt" will perform at 7.30 pm, followed by the "Paveier" from Cologne from 9.00 pm.
On Sunday, 6 July, an ecumenical church service at 11.00 a.m. with the Family of Peace Gospel Singers, the subsequent parish festival of the Protestant parish and an organ concert at 5.00 p.m. in the parish church of St. Gereon will round off the varied program.
