50. Leipziger Jazztage

This year, the festival is celebrating half a century of history as one of the most important platforms for contemporary jazz and improvised music in Germany—featuring international
artists, extraordinary projects, and musical cross-genre collaborations in Leipzig.
This year’s edition is held under the patronage of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Once again this year, there will be select presales before the regular presale period begins: For the opening night at the Opera House featuring Alexander Schlippenbach’s Globe Unity Orchestra, followed by Charlie Hunter & Ella Feingold; for Jason Moran’s concert on October 21 at St. Thomas Church; and for our concert evening at the Schauspiel Leipzig on October 22 featuring Norma Winstone & Kit Downes, followed by the Bill Frisell Trio.
