6. Lachende PÄNZarena

The 6th Laughing PÄNZarena is a joint event of the concert and guest performance management Otto Hofner GmbH with the ARENA Management GmbH.

In 2017, the Otto Hofner guest performance company expanded its event portfolio to include the "Laughing PÄNZarena," where especially the youngest fans of the fifth season can celebrate with all the greats of Cologne Carnival. This year's children's version of the legendary "Laughing Kölnarena" attracted 10,000 enthusiastic Pänz to the LANXESS arena in February 2023 and was thus sold-out.

The "Laughing Kölnarena" has already been established for decades and is a fixed program item of the Cologne Carnival. In keeping with the 2017 session motto "Wenn mer uns Pänz sinn, sin mer vun de Söck," an event just for children was added for the first time six years ago with the "Lachende PÄNZarena."

Stefan Löcher, Managing Director of the co-organizing LANXESS arena, is delighted with the success of the "Lachende PÄNZarena": "Since 2017, this event has made a significant contribution to promoting young carnival talent. The demand this year was great and we were sold out with 10,000 happy Pänz. To cope with this rush, we have brought forward the start of advance sales for 2024. My thanks go to the Otto Hofner guest performance management, who gave birth to this great format and with whom we can hold the event for the sixth time next year in our usual good partnership."

The Gastspieldirektion Otto Hofner GmbH, Michael Burgmer and Nathalie Drmota, to this: "It makes us the largest joy to put annually the program for the "small Jecken" on the legs and the nicest thank-you are the beaming, shining eyes of the Pänz. With full anticipation we look to the year 2024, in which we could win together with the ARENA Management GmbH uniquely an own day - Sunday, 07.01.2024, 13.30 to 17.00 o'clock - for this event. Next year, we will again offer a mega program to continue to make the customs and traditions of Cologne Carnival accessible to children."
