"70 years of Don Clarke - the big bang of comedy!"
On February 8, the Schmidt Theater will become the center of the comedy universe - because Don Clarke is turning 70! And he's not celebrating with champagne and canapés - but with a galactic full-throttle show, the likes of which the country has never seen before.
Don Clarke - born in Halifax (UK), celebrated throughout Germany - is a true icon of British-German humor. For decades, he has been delighting audiences with his dry wit, absurd observations and a stage presence that burns into the diaphragm.
Comedians will travel from all over Germany to congratulate him - and preferably to join him on stage themselves. Because this time it's not just about talking, this time it's about celebrating: The "DONIVERSUM" is taking off - with an omnibus full of guests. 1 million punchlines, two breaks, no timetable, no brakes.
Secret tour anecdotes? Absolutely. Stories that nobody ever wanted to tell - and Don unpacks them anyway? Guaranteed! Audience action? Promised. Stories from thousands of performances that show why so many comedians say: "When I saw Don for the first time, I knew - I want to do that too!"
Comedy fans, watch out: This won't be a normal comedy evening, this will be a primal event. A cosmic spectacle for the heart, brain and laughter muscles.
