What happens when a newsroom loses its freedom and starts all over again? When the independence of the Hungarian platform Index begins to falter, the film follows the disintegration of one of Hungary's most important newsrooms over the course of several years. It portrays the resistance of journalists who refuse to bow to political pressure and tells how something new emerges from this break: an independent medium founded on the will to defend free journalism.
