W. Michael Blumenthal, professor of economics, former US Treasury Secretary and founding director of the Jewish Museum Berlin (JMB), presents his new political thriller The "Payday" Conspiracy. A Berlin Noir.
The fast-paced novel noir, which was published in the USA in September 2024, is about a far-right conspiracy against democracy. While investigating the murder of the deputy head of the US embassy in Berlin, his employee Adam Jackson becomes an involuntary investigator. His investigations lead him underground, where he uncovers a connection to the local aristocracy and organized crime.
The reading will be moderated by Michael Naumann, publisher and former Minister of State for Culture.
