newhvn come from Liverpool and combine rock, alternative rock and grunge with a past in instrumental post-rock.
The band emerged from A Burial At Sea, who previously released two albums, toured internationally and played festivals such as ArcTanGent, Dunk! or Bergmal.

For their new material, newhvn retreated to Black Bay Studios on the Isle of Lewis and expanded their former post-rock sound to include shoegaze and post-hardcore influences. There are also echoes of bands such as Pinegrove and Cloakroom - dense guitars, lots of dynamics, great melodies.
