In the organizer's words:
The eight-piece vocal ensemble was formed in 2022 in Stuttgart's choir scene, inspired by a workshop held by the British band Voces8. Anyone who loves their sound will enjoy the young South German octet. In 2024, the Leipzig International a cappella competition found a worthy winner in them. Now calens are guests in Leipzig for the traditional prizewinners' concert and demonstrate the timelessness of classical vocal music in historical and contemporary settings of sacred texts. So listen up - here you can hear something highly aspiring!
