A gripping mixture of emotional social drama and race-against-time thriller with a captivating Laure Calamy in the leading role.

After separating from her husband, Julie has moved to a Parisian suburb where she looks after her two children alone. Every day she takes them to a nanny and then travels to Paris, where she works as a chambermaid in a luxury hotel. When a strike breaks out, public transport is constantly out of service, which makes commuting between home and work much more difficult. When Julie also applies for another job in the city, she gets caught up in a marathon between parental care and trouble shooting, which pushes her to the edge of her strength and puts her professional and private existence in danger. Eric Gravel won the directing prize in the "Orizzonti" series in Venice for his fast-paced second feature film.

Flingern-Lichtspiele

The summer open-air cinema at the Filmwerkstatt. Every Thursday and Saturday in August, we show eight films on the terrace behind the building. The projections start after dark, admission is from 21:00. Folding chairs and deckchairs are available and there is a bar. Free admission, donations welcome.
