Oscar was once a popular poet. Now he lives in obscurity, gets drunk in pubs and is ridiculed instead of celebrated at local readings. No wonder his private life is not looking rosy either: He lives with his mother, his daughter is ashamed of him and his sister urges him to take a job as a teacher. However, when he reluctantly becomes the mentor of Yurlady, a teenager from a humble background with amazing talent, there is a glimmer of hope.
