"A Weihnachtsgschicht" mit Amelie Diana & Andreas Bittl

In the organizer's words:

Charles Dickens' famous and touching story in Bavarian, by and with Amelie Diana & Andreas Bittl

The two Münchner Kindl, cabaret artist Amelie Diana and actor Andreas Bittl, have translated Charles Dickens' famous Christmas story "A Christmas Carol" from 1843 into Bavarian and turned it into a scenic evening with music, which they are now staging for the eighth year.
Sometimes humorous, sometimes contemplative, they tell the story of the cold-hearted businessman Eberhard Gschaftl, who lives in 19th century Munich. The old grump is haunted by three ghosts who confront him with his previous existence, causing the decades-old walls around his heart to crumble. The story is framed by old Bavarian Christmas carols, traditional dances and subtle tavern music with accordion and guitar.

A program just like Christmas itself: sensual, soulful and bsuffa.

Included at every venue: many small wooden stars, made and donated by a carpenter friend, which are thematically woven into the story and which the audience can take home at the end of each performance for a donation of their choice. The donations go to the Munich-based association Zeltschule e.V., which builds schools directly in refugee camps in Lebanon and Syria.

A Weihnachtsgschicht is also available as a magical radio play with music. Available online at www.ameliediana.de
