Abholzen! - Werkschau 2026

At the end of the summer semester, the Department of Design at Mainz University of Applied Sciences will present the 2026 Exhibition. This year marks a special occasion: Before moving to the new campus, the exhibition will take place one last time on Holzstraße. Under the motto “Abholzen!” (Let’s Clear Out!), the department bids farewell to its long-standing location while looking ahead to a new chapter.

OnJuly 3 and 4,theCommunication Design,Interior Architecture, andTime-Based Mediaprograms will open their doors to showcase current projects, final theses, and perspectives from both student work and teaching. The exhibition offers insights into the diversity of design themes, processes, and perspectives.

The program will be complemented by a clothing swap, a design market, and workshops. Music, drinks, and finger food will provide the opportunity to celebrate together one last time on Holzstraße.
