Abracadabra

Californian duo Abracadabra delve into decades of electronica and crunchy sound effects, field recordings and animal noises, infused with an infectious Latin American influence. The new album "Shapes & Colors" shines with the charismatic energy of Lizzy Mercier Descloux, the dub hits of Scientist, the idiosyncrasies of Deerhoof and offers a squiggly alternative to traditional guitar pop chord progressions by layering danceable motifs.

Earlier this year, abracadabra toured with their 5-piece live band, taking them to SXSW before playing a series of support shows for The Go! Team in the UK. Later in the year, they'll cross the pond again, this time as headliners with dates in the EU and the UK.
