More than 90 Berlin students took the opportunity to lead a music ensemble themselves this year and attended a course offered by the Landesmusikrat. Over the course of two weekends and during the fall vacations, they learned about orchestra, choir, big band and - NEW - drums and improvisation, laying the foundations for their own musical development and for supporting musical ensemble work in their school or club. Many of the young participants are planning to study to become music teachers.

The program is under the patronage of Vladimir Jurowski, chief conductor and artistic director of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin (rsb).
