Abweichungen erschreiben - Kay Matter und Jayrôme C. Robinet

The intensity with which body norms and gender identity are debated shows how explosive the questions of individual self-determination still are in our times. At stake are self-perception and the perception of others, role perceptions in social and private life, but also legal and grammatical definitions. Literature, in particular, can not only convey experiences, but also reveal new mental and linguistic perspectives. Kay Matter and Jayrôme C. Robinet have created texts that move between autofictional introspection and committed essay writing. Matter's "Muskeln aus Plastik" and Robinet's "Mein Weg von einer weißen Frau zu einem jungen Mann mit Migrationshintergrund" reveal how closely trans* identities are interwoven with migration, care and endangered health.
