A remote villa in France: the family comes together to celebrate Christmas when the man of the house is found dead - a dagger stuck in his back. When the eight women realize that they are cut off from the outside world, the ludicrous story takes its course and a criminal confusion begins. One of the women is a cold-blooded murderer, they all have a motive and a secret, none of them has an alibi. In this absolutely exceptional situation, brazen lies and vile suspicions collide, disappointing life dreams and pent-up frustration are revealed. Author Robert Thomas (1927-1989) plays with prejudices and clichés, providing us with a pointed and always surprisingly absurd and comical theatrical delight.
