Climate change, epidemics, wars and a shift to the right... How does it feel to be growing up today? What personal and social challenges are eighteen-year-olds confronted with? What gives them hope? What is their vision of a better world?

The multimedia exhibition .achtzehn invites you to immerse yourself in the world of thought of a generation that is just coming of age by means of portrait photographs, voices and moving images. A journey across Germany - from the mountains to the sea, to big cities and villages, to playgrounds, highway blockades and theater stages, to children's rooms, military barracks and youth detention centers.

In these emotionally charged places, the protagonists provide insights into their personal realities and social perspectives and open up spaces that invite us to reflect on the questions of our time.
