Sound between retreat and departure

It is not a debut in the classic sense. Anyone who knows Marne knows a voice that has already screamed, rapped and sung. A voice that was just as much at home on the stages of city festivals as it was at metalcore festivals or DIY rap battles in Lower Saxony. And yet "Marne" sounds like a beginning.

Marne is the name of the new solo project by the musician, who previously played under the name Kid Weasley and became known as the frontman of the North German post-hardcore band Maelføy. A new direction, but not a break: Marne is a return to what remains when you turn down the noise.

Melancholic indie meets German-language pop and subtle NDW echoes. Personal, atmospheric and approachable, Marne tells of fear, hope and the feeling of being stuck somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow.
