ACT Night: Luca Sestak Trio feat. Jakob Manz

He is a pianist, composer, and musical trailblazer, but above all, an entertainer at the piano: At just eleven years old, Luca Sestak posted his first videos of himself playing the piano online; today, he has more than 200,000 followers on Instagram alone, plus another 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. Today, his music takes him all around the world. With virtuoso ease, exuberant joy, and subtle humor, Sestak captivates audiences far beyond genre boundaries.

With his album “Lighter Notes,” Luca Sestak shows just how surprisingly fresh piano music can sound: Chopin suddenly gets funky, Bach seems to take a seat in a jazz club, and the instrument itself opens up unimagined worlds of sound—sometimes even by Sestak modifying it with tape or felt for his original compositions.
