Politics, culture, revolution

Founded in 2017, the "Africa Film Festival" presents feature films, documentaries and short films on social change, upheavals and colonial reappraisal on the African continent. Current African films, music, dance, theater, live performances and panel discussions take up important discourses on current political and social issues. The creative workshops bring African culture to life. Every year, the festival presents an authentic and multifaceted picture of Africa and contributes to the reduction of prejudices and cultural education. The aim is to create an authentic image of Africa using the art form of film as a social seismograph.

An African artists' market and traditional food provide a colorful backdrop for the films.

Almost all films are shown in the original language with German or English subtitles.
