Let's go to "Sunday in the Nikolai Quarter"! A colorful program awaits you every 1st Sunday of the month. Free admission for anyone under the age of 18 or with a concession.
Discover eight hundred years of history and culture! Berlin's oldest preserved church building has shaped the Nikolai Quarter and the center of Berlin since the Middle Ages: once a place of religion, now a museum of church, building and city history. The model of the medieval twin cities of Berlin and Cölln is particularly interesting for families. Here, children and adults can find out together which buildings from back then still exist and what they look like today.
On the day of the event, a guided tour through the permanent exhibition Berlins Mitte will give you an in-depth insight into the history of the place. Two special exhibitions also await you: The colonial past of Berlin's Nikolaikirche is illuminated by six video stations. Who decided in the city? deals with the church, power and coexistence before 1800 and opens up new perspectives on seven objects on display in the permanent exhibition.
An audio guide for families leads you through the museum with exciting stories in German. Especially for children, there is a museum rally illustrated by the Berlin comic artist Mawil in German, English, Turkish, Polish and Arabic.
