ALICIA CIBOLA (TX/USA)

Alicia Cibola is a Congolese-American singer and songwriter from Houston, Texas, USA. "Music with heart and soul" is how she describes her style. Her songwriting is strongly influenced by her own life experiences. Hopeful, eye-opening, funny and sometimes heartbreaking; the music entertains the audience in the moment, but the lyrics give them something to think about later. A blend of soul, pop, with a touch of gospel and rock; the music is a blend of Alicia's multicultural upbringing. As the daughter of an immigrant from the Democratic Republic of Congo, she was heavily influenced by American genres of the Deep South.
