Alltag im nationalsozialistischen Lübeck
In the organizer's words:
1933: Demonstration on Burgfeld - 15,000 people protest against the NSDAP. After that, things get darker and darker: everyday life changes, the regime intervenes everywhere. Sports clubs were banned and Nazi troops increasingly gained the upper hand on the streets. Those who did not conform to the nationalist norm suffered more and more. The conversion to dictatorship does not stop at children and young people either: the German School Festival is intended to bring the youth into line with the party and a few pupils from the Oberschule zum Dom build a cog for the Führer. The tour begins at the kiosk on Gustav-Radbruch-Platz and leads through the Burgtor gate into the city center and at the same time further and further into the Third Reich era. The contemporary witnesses speak for themselves through reports and newspaper articles and allow us to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of Lübeck in the 1930s.
