Whether masterful songs from the Romantic period or folk songs from all over the world, nonsense verses or great mass compositions: The musical playground of the Leipzig ensemble amarcord is as wide as the atlas of its festival. However, the singers probably have more in their repertoire by no other composer than Orlando di Lasso. And after 2011 and 2012, they will now dedicate a program entirely to the "Prince of Musicians" for the third time as part of a cappella: The amarcord's portrait of Lassus at the 24th festival will be a mixed one of both secular and sacred works, in which we will see and hear, among other things, how Lassus in his
Lassus' tremendously captivating compositional style into parody masses. From madrigals to Lassus' mass compositions with amarcord - this mixture sounds more than tempting!
