When rock music reinvented itself yet again and became the defining sound of the ’90s, its sheer power completely turned the established norms of international pop music on their head. The echoes of that era are still clearly felt today: unbridled energy that bursts forth in guitar feedback, harsh noise, and thunderous drumming, giving voice to—and making tangible—the frustrations and fears of entire generations.This is exactly where AMPLIFIRE, Hamburg’s new festival, comes in.

For two days, AMPLIFIRE presents guitar-driven music spanning alternative rock, post-hardcore, and punk rock in the green and colorful oasis of the Hamburg Harbor—a venue familiar to many music fans from festivals like MS Dockville, Spektrum, and Habitat.

The lineup—lovingly curated by fans for fans and featuring 30 favorite bands, hidden gems, and newcomers—brings the passion and energy of this music to Hamburg for a weekend.
