An evening with Finn Moriz

With Small Size Sessions, we are realizing a concept that fills the niche between non-commercial living room concerts and larger club concerts. Regular concert evenings are planned with hand-picked artists from a wide range of genres (singer-songwriters, pop, folk or indie). Unusually for events of this kind, the event begins with a short interview (usually with Jörg Tresp/Devilduck) - depending on the artist, there is a short break. Another unique feature is the early concert start (19:30) and a range of drinks and food individually tailored to the evening.

The Hamburg musician and singer-songwriter Finn Moriz is the new talent on the German-speaking music scene. With his unmistakable style, he succeeds in taking up the tradition of the singer-songwriter, modernizing it and interweaving it with contemporary elements. In his compositions, he combines precise, poetic storytelling with rousing, danceable arrangements. Indie sounds meet powerful pop refrains, distorted guitars merge with electronic elements and create an atmospheric density.

In addition to the early influences of Bob Dylan and Townes van Zandt, Finn Moriz's music now also draws inspiration from acts such as Noga Erez, Black Keyes and Adrianne Lenker. He is supported by the renowned producer Philipp Schwär (known for his work with Fynn Kliemann, Kettcar, Revolverheld and Johannes Oerding), whose detailed sound lends Finn Moriz's songs additional depth.
