AN EVENING WITH FRAN LEBOWITZ HOSTED BY JAN BÖHMERMANN

At a time when experts and self-proclaimed commentators are springing up all over the place, Fran Lebowitz stands out as one of the most astute observers of the present.

The New York author - known for her dry wit, urban cool and uncompromising views - dissects life in the USA with a mixture of humor, clarity and biting irony.

Since the Netflix documentary Pretend It's A City, directed by her good friend Martin Scorsese, she has also become famous in German-speaking countries. The documentary not only shows a view of a thriving New York, but also Lebowitz's unmistakable attitude to city life and modern America.

At the end of 2026, it will be shown at the SchauSpielHaus Hamburg: presenter and satirist Jan Böhmermann will host the evening before Fran Lebowitz takes questions from the audience.

After the event, there will be an opportunity to have books signed in the foyer.
