Maksym Butkevych was long known in Ukraine and beyond for his commitment to human rights, his critical

At the event, Maksym Butkevych will talk about his personal experiences in prison and provide
insights into the psyche of his Russian captors. He will talk to us about his activism,
his political views, solidarity and the international left. He will also present the German
edition of his book "Am Richtigen Platz" (2024, Anthea), which will be available at the event.
