Anatomische Sammlung Jena - Dauerausstellung
In the organizer's words:
The anatomical collection in Jena focuses on human anatomy. Since the beginning of the 19th century, it has been used for the education of students of human medicine and dentistry and is available to a broad medical public. The public permanent exhibition in the Institute of Anatomy is located in the oldest rooms of the university, the Collegium Jenense. The basics of human anatomy by organ system are taught in the Rolfinck Hall. Questions about the art of anatomical dissection and modeling as well as the origin of the cadavers used are also answered. The Goethe Hall is dedicated to the historical holdings and the history of the collection. Highlights include several specimens made by Goethe himself. The historical model collection is presented in a separate area.
