"All animals are equal." This is the promise the animals of the former "master farm" make to themselves after they have freed themselves from humans. Now, on the "Animal Farm", everything is supposed to be different, everyone is supposed to be better off. But the self-imposed principles quickly begin to falter: the pigs seize power, inequalities gradually grow and at some point the saying goes: "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."
Ensemble member Patrick Balaraj Yogarajan explores George Orwell's timeless parable "Animal Farm" and asks: When and for whom has the promise of freedom, equality and brotherhood ever been fulfilled? And who are we like? Rat, horse or pig?
