The third DEMON SLAYER movie is again a compilation movie, consisting of the last two episodes of the Swordsmith Village Arc and the first episode of the new Hashira Training Arc, in which the pillars use their training to prepare for their upcoming battle against Kibutsuji Muzan.

DEMON SLAYER: KIMETSU NO YAIBA was the film and series phenomenon of the pandemic years 2020-21, the feature film MUGEN TRAIN catapulted to first place among the most successful Japanese films of all time, far ahead of the consistent top duo SPIRITED AWAY by Hayao Miyazaki and YOUR NAME by Makoto Shinkai.

Tanjiro undergoes rigorous training with the Stone Hashira, Himejima, in his quest to become a Hashira. Meanwhile, Muzan continues to search for Nezuko and Ubuyashiki. TO THE HASHIRA TRAINING is the direct sequel to the third season of the anime television series as well as its third film adaptation, following MUGEN TRAIN (2020) and TO THE SWORDSMITH VILLAGE (2023).

Similarly to the Swordsmith Village film adaptation, TO THE HASHIRA TRAINING acts as a compilation film to the anime television series, incorporating footage from the last two episodes of the third season and first episode of the fourth season.
