Anna Beros – High Hoe: Stand-Up Solo Edinburgh Fringe Preview (EN)

From Slut City comes an hour of honest, loving stand-up. Would a “hoe” by any other name smell as sweet? Can we reward ourselves without wallowing in self-destruction? What’s the deal with narcissists? How much motherhood can you afford? Turning shame into a loving celebration and playfully challenging social norms from behind, Anna navigates the line between self-love and self-sabotage with sharp stand-up and playful audience interaction in her third solo show, following “Creampie Curious” and “Creampie Clarity.” 

After a successful full run at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and tours through Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Spain, “High Hoe” returns to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2026. Catch Anna performing “High Hoe” for one of the last times in Berlin before it’s taped.

Born in New Zealand, raised in Melbourne, and saved by Berlin, Anna hosts and headlines up to seven weekly shows in Berlin and is a regular headliner in major European cities. She’s written for Comedy Central DE, hosts the comedy channel Ersties Nonsense, and runs the podcast Adults ONLY Comedy Berlin, which has 164 episodes. Check it out!

Anna celebrates life’s struggles with cheeky, incisive stand-up and heartwarming audience interaction. She opened for Jeff Arcuri at Admiralspalast in Berlin in 2025, for April Macie at U.S. Army bases in 2024, and for Ian Fidance in 2019. She tours Europe and has enjoyed successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe from 2023 to 2025, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival from 2023 to 2024, the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2024, and the Adelaide Fringe in 2023 with her solo shows “Creampie Curious,” “Creampie Clarity,” and “High Hoe.”
