🪧 Every year on May 1, the Kulturvolksfest takes place on the green hill in Recklinghausen to mark the opening of the Ruhr Festival. This year, the Fritz Hüser Institute for Literature and Culture of the Working World will also be taking part in the opening festivities - with two events:

1. 14:00-14:30 From the bread box to the archive box The life, work and literary legacy of Gelsenkirchen author Ilse Kibgis.
   
2. 16:15-16:45 ARBEITEN Reading and discussion with the author Heike Geißler. In her essay, the author discusses different perspectives on the world of work. Topics
