On the beach in Thebes, the high society at the beach bar and in the next bay the dead bodies of numerous and nameless migrants. To deter further boat people, they lie there in plastic bags and may not be buried under threat of death. This is the starting point of this modern version of Antigone.
"They are not our dead", proclaimed several times by leading politicians, denies any shared responsibility for the problems that force people to leave their homeland.
Is the dignity of all people inviolable or does this only apply to German citizens?
How do we want to behave?
Preferably not at all?
Do we close our eyes and party?
Do we look closely and party anyway?
Do we look and shrug our shoulders?
Do we look and become extremists?
How do we find a humanitarian solution?
How do we become capable of acting?
